Show pulled mild ratings this season on NBC's Tuesday night lineup

NBC has ended “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers” after two seasons.

The Betty White-hosted reality series, which features the elderly pranking younger people, pulled a 1.0 in adults 18-49 this week, and around four million total viewers as a lead-in for “America’s Got Talent.”

Produced by Kinetic Content, “Rockers” officially bowed in April 2012 after a preview seg that ran in conjunction with White’s 90th birthday. Series wrapped its second season Tuesday.

Program became a utility player for the Peacock, plugging lineup holes when other series were pulled from NBC’s slate. While no longer an active member of NBC’s lineup after cancellation, it’s conceivable that the Peacock could revive the show for one-offs or holiday-themed specials in the future.

    what are “one-offs ” ??

  2. cadavra says:

The best part of “Candid Camera” was the victims’ reactions when Allan Funt emerged to tell them they’d been had; ROCKERS never gave us this, and it felt incomplete. Also, frankly, they were starting to get repetitive: how many times can you sneeze in your husband’s ashes or dash out of the bushes pretending you’d just had sex? Still, it was nice to see old folks getting the upper hand for once…

  3. Just Confused says:

I tuned in this show exactly once.

When I realized Bette was basically just doing intros to lame practical jokes, I bailed. An occasional “special” might keep the fun in this show appealing….
a la “Candid Camera”….but if you’re looking for Bette White, you may as well head on out. Most viewers “cancelled” this show long before the network pulled the plug, or am I……

Just Confused is really Very Confused….It’s Betty White, not Bette as in Davis or Midler! Betty White rules! Some Betty White is better than no Betty White in anyone’s line up!
