NBC Adds Film Exec to Drama Development Team

Kahli Small's resume includes tenures at GK Films, Focus Features

NBC has tapped vet film exec Kahli Small as senior vice president of drama development. Small will report to Pearlena Igbokwe, exec veep of drama development.

Small most recently served as exec v.p. of production and development for Graham King’s shingle, GK Films, which produced pics including “The Departed,” “Argo” and “Hugo.” Prior to her stint at GK, Small logged eight years as a production exec at Focus Features, handling films including “Milk,” “The American” and “The Kids Are All Right.”

“We are thrilled to have Kahli bring her incredible talent for developing compelling drama to NBC,” said Jennifer Salke, prez of NBC Entertainment.  “Today, the distinction between the big and small screen is more and more irrelevant; instead there are just good stories – and Kahli has a knack for finding and nurturing them.”

Igbokwe added: “Kahli has demonstrated – both at GK Films and Focus Features – the ability to develop smart, prestigious projects that have enjoyed critical and commercial success – which is the future of drama development at NBC.”
