NBC ’30 Rock,’ ‘SNL’ Lithographs for Emmy Campaign (EXCLUSIVE)

Matthew Hirschfeld has created several original lithographs for Variety and NBCUniversal as a marketing tool for the 2013 Emmy campaign.

The lithographs are an homage to the late New York Times caricaturist, and distant relative, Al Hirschfeld, whose legacy as an American caricaturist of Broadway stars and other celebrities is world renown.

Among the original series lithographs that Hirschfeld has created for Universal Television are “Parks and Recreation,” “30 Rock,” “Saturday Night Live,” “The Office,” “Parenthood,” “Bates Motel” and “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.”

Hirschfeld has focused on the Hollywood community previously, and his drawings have covered everything from Academy Award-winning films to musical artists and professional athletes.

“We thought it would be fun to shake up the traditional, and voluminous, Emmy advertising landscape with something that would distinguish our programs. We think Matt’s lithographs were a beautiful, unique and evocative way to pay tribute to them,” said Richard Licata, Executive Vice President of Communications for NBC Entertainment.
