Nat Geo TV Appoints Tim Pastore

Pastore transitions to Nat Geo from BBC Worldwide Prods.

Tim Pastore has been named exec veep of programming and development at National Geographic Television, the documentary TV production arm of National Geographic Society.

He will report to Brooke Runnette, prez of Nat Geo TV.

“Tim is a fantastically talented producer and I’m thrilled to have him on the team,” said Runnette. “Over the next few months, Tim and I will be building out the development and production teams both in D.C. and New York, and are looking forward to creating more hit series and specials for National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD and our other partners. It’s an exciting time for us as we look forward to building on NGT’s fantastic legacy to make it an even more powerful media brand.”

Pastore joins the company from BBC Worldwide Prods., where he was veep of factual production and programming. He has also logged time at 3net, serving as vice prez of development and production, and at Discovery Channel as director of production and development.
