Reality series receives second season order

King of the Nerds” will have a second season on TBS.
The Atlanta-based cabler has ordered eight episodes of the reality series, with a return set for some time in 2014. First season wraps March 7.
The show, from Electus and 5X5 Media, has averaged 2.1 million viewers in live-plus-7 data for the first three episodes, according to Nielsen. Exec producers are Ben Silverman, Chris Grant, Jimmy Fox of Electus, Craig Armstrong, Rick Ringbakk, Robert Carradine and Curtis Armstrong.
Hosted by Carradine and Armstrong, the series features competitors from across the nerd spectrum facing challenges that test their intellect, ingenuity, skills and pop-culture prowess. Eventual winner takes home a $100,000 prize.
