Schur's current projects at the studio include 'Parks and Rec,' 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine'

Michael Schur has inked a multi-year deal with Universal TV that extends his pact with the studio through 2016.

Schur currently pens and exec produces the Peacock’s “Parks and Rec” and Fox’s forthcoming comedy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” both of which hail from Universal TV. Deal extension follows Schur signing a two-year overall with Universal TV last summer.

“Mike is a wildly talented writer and, hands-down, one of the best showrunners in the business,” said Universal TV executive vice president Bela Bajaria. “He is funny, collaborative, smart, solution-oriented and incredibly creative. We greatly value our relationship with him and look forward to the success of ‘Parks,’ ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ and many other shows. We’re very excited to be collaborating with Mike for years to come.”

The Emmy-winning scribe has also logged years on NBC’s “The Office” and “Saturday Night Live.”

He is repped by UTA, David Miner at 3 Arts Entertainment and attorney Ken Richman.
