Lifetime, coming off a strong 2012, opened the new year on a good note too as Tuesday’s third-season premiere of “Dance Moms” drew a series-best 2.8 million viewers.The docusoap starring Abby Lee Miller grew 33% over its most recent season premiere last summer, according to Nielsen, and also surged by 27% in adults 18-49 (to 1.4 million) and by 45% in adults 25-54 (to 1.3 million). “Dance Moms” is produced by Collins Avenue, with Jeff Collins, Michael Hammond, Mike Aho, Bryan Stinson and John R. Corella executive producing. Following “Dance Moms,” a sneak peak of lingerie docuseries “Double Divas” averaged 1.5 million viewers. It will air regularly on Thursdays beginning next week.
