Mariana Flynn has joined Lifetime’s unscripted department as vice president of nonfiction programming, the cabler announced today.
Flynn reports to senior veep of nonfiction Eli Lehrer, and is based in Lifetime’s Los Angeles office. Reality shows on Lifetime’s current lineup include “Project Runway,” “Dance Moms” and “Preachers’ Daughters.”
The exec was most recently veep of development at TLC, where she oversaw projects including “Cheer Perfection,” “Gypsy Sisters” and “All-American Muslim.” Before her six-year stint at TLC, Flynn served as director of alternative & specials for NBC Entertainment.
“I’ve been a big fan of Mariana and her work for quite some time and am delighted to have her join my team,” said Lehrer. “Her keen eye for talent and strong relationships within the creative community perfectly mesh with our strategy to keep building Lifetime’s non-fiction slate with larger-than-life characters and daring concepts.”
