"Chuck's" Chris Fedak to pen fantasy drama for shingle's startup division
Legendary TV has set up its first big piece of business, a fantasy drama at NBC from “Chuck” creator Chris Fedak.
Former Warner Bros. TV Group topper Bruce Rosenblum is leading the smallscreen charge for Thomas Tull’s busy banner. Rosenblum joined Legendary in June shortly after exiting WB.
The Fedak project revolves around people from different walks of life who receive a organ donation that turns out to be from “Earth’s mightiest hero.”
Fedak is writing and exec producing with Peter Johnson, the former head of McG’s Wonderland Sound and Vision who joined Legendary this summer.
Rosenblum hit the ground running, putting a slew of projects in development, largely in the cable realm. But the Fedak-NBC drama is the first to surface with a network pact.
Fedak also has a drama project percolating at TNT. “The Last Cop,” about a police officer who wakes up in the present day after being in a coma for 20 years. That Fox TV Studios project is said to be on track for a pilot order.
Fedak is repped by WME.
