Leah Remini, Snooki Among ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Cast

Dancing With the Stars cast

Leah Remini, who has been making headlines this summer for her acrimonious split with Scientology, headlines the cast for upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars.”

The lineup for the 17th season of the show was announced this morning with few surprises; many of the names had been leaked leading up to today.

In addition to Remini on the female side is “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, “Showgirls” and “Saved By the Bell” star Elizabeth Berkley, 74-year-old Valerie Harper, former “Glee” star Amber Riley and singer Christina Milian.

On the male side is Jack Osbourne, “High School Musical” star Corbin Bleu, Bill Nye “The Science Guy,” comedian Bill Engvall, “Pretty Little Liars” star Brant Daugherty and former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson.

Show premieres on Sept. 16 and will air only once a week, as opposed to two times per week like past seasons.

Not a regular viewer of DWTS but I will say that it can be fun to watch since the show and the stakes are not nearly as contrived as those cheesy singing competition shows. B through D list celebrities competing for a mirror ball and to be remembered as not being dead, not America’s supposed next pop singing sensation (which is more like quickly forgotten new auto dealership meet and greet “celebrity” or state fair circuit act). Kudos to Valerie Harper who is battling terminal cancer for participating.

First off this shows a joke. Second how fare is it and what sense does it make to invite people who have had dancing lessons and or experience? Stupid f@”ks! To me the point and purpose off the show would be to bring people on who have no idea how to dance. And America just sops the same repetitious crap. More of the same crap, no new fresh ideas. Ride the horse till it god damn dies and keep bringing in the people who have had dance training. What a joke!

Maybe you don’t know this but you don’t have to watch. There are other shows on TV at that time you could watch instead. Now if DWTS was on every channel and you were forced to watch then you would have a valid say in the matter. It’s just good clean entertainment which is more than I can say for the other crap on TV these days.
