Josh Holloway drama will get a preview behind 'NCIS' on Tuesday before moving to Monday

CBS has moved up the premiere date for its new Josh Holloway drama “Intelligence,” and will give it a special preview airing behind “NCIS.”

“Intelligence” was originally skedded to premiere Monday, Feb. 24, taking over the 10 p.m. slot occupied this fall by “Hostages.” But CBS has changed its mind and will premiere “Intelligence” on Jan. 13, one week after “Hostages” wraps its 15-episode run with a two-hour finale.

“Hostages” has struggled on Mondays this fall, and CBS’ comedy block leading into it hasn’t been lighting the world on fire. So to allow as many viewers as possible to sample the pilot of “Intelligence,” CBS will give it a special Tuesday preview on Jan. 7, at 9 p.m. after an original episode of “NCIS.”

“Intelligence” stars Holloway as a high-tech intelligence operative enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain. It also stars Michael Rady, John Billingsley and PJ Byrne.

Michael Seitzman, Tripp Vinson and Barry Schindel are the executive producers for ABC Television Studios in association with CBS Television Studios.
