Former HBO exec promoted from exec veep position
Jeff Krolik, who has overseen operations for Fox Sports Regional Networks since 2007, has been promoted from exec veep to president.
Krolik will continue to report to Fox Sports prexy-COO Eric Shanks, who himself was given sole oversight of that division last month, when Randy Freer moved from their shared position to become prexy-COO of Fox Networks Group.
Fox Sports Regional Networks is made up of 22 owned-and-operated networks. Krolik will also assume oversight of Fox Deportes, which leads both Univision Deportes and ESPN Deportes in year-to-date overall viewers and in the 18-49 demo.
“Jeff has played a vital role in growing our regional sports network business and helping it become the industry leader it is today,” said Shanks. “I’m confident Jeff will continue to do an outstanding job managing our regional business, while also overseeing the growth of Fox Deportes.”
Prior to Fox Sports, Krolik served as general manager of Fox Sports Bay Area from 1995-2007. That followed a 15-year tenure at HBO, where he last served as vice president of HBO International, and previously launched HBO in Brazil.
