Vet actress on board Chuck Lorre's CBS pilot
Allison Janney has joined the cast of “Mom,” Chuck Lorre’s comedy pilot at CBS.
Janney will play Bonnie, Anna Faris’ mother, in the multicam laffer. Project centers on a newly sober mom, played by Faris, who is trying to pull her life together while living in Napa Valley.
Lorre has penned the pilot with Eddie Gorodetsky and Gemma Baker. Gorodetsky and Lorre are exec producing, while Baker serves as producer.
Janney, a “West Wing” vet who also appeared in Lorre and Gorodetsky’s “Two and a Half Men,” can be seen in feature films “The Way, Way Back” and “Touchy Feely,” both of which are slated to bow this year.
