Homeland” returns to Showtime for its third season Sunday, but not before it gets the parody treatment on YouTube.

Above Average, a comedy net within Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video, has spoofed the dramatic series with a musical twist. From Eliot Glazer, “Homeland: The Musical’s” log line reads:

You’ve watched them love, fight, and sacrifice for three seasons on the explosive Showtime drama, “Homeland.”  But now, you can witness the magical world of homeland security find new life on Broadway in “Homeland: The Musical.”

“Homeland” is just another critically-adored drama to be parodied online within the last year. “Breaking Bad” has spawned its own viral sensations with “Hank and Marie watch…” and now “Walter watches…” Two “House of Cards” spoofs — one involving binge-viewing gone awry and another involving Francis Underwood and the pope — made waves online as well.
