Pawn Stars WGA Lost Income

'Pawn Stars' among programs to air

Russians will be able to watch some of the same hardcore truckers and pawn store experts that Americans have been treated to, as A&E Networks on Nov. 21 announced the launch of History in Russia.

History and History HD have already unveiled on digital satellite television service NTV+, and will roll out on another provider, Rostelecom, within the year.

The premiere Russian lineup includes many of the channel’s mainstays, such as “Ice Road Truckers,” “Pawn Stars,” “American Pickers,” “American Restoration,” “Counting Cars” and “Mountain Men.”

“The rollout of History in Russia marks an important milestone for A+E Networks,” said Dean Possenniskie, managing director for A&E Networks, Europe. “Russia is an important territory for us and we’re looking forward to bringing the highest quality factual entertainment to the market.”

History is available in more than 330 million households in 160+ territories and 39 languages worldwide.
