Newsmag to devote entire finale to Vice's trip to North Korea
As the political climate surrounding North Korea and its young, unpredictable leader Kim Jong-un remains dangerous and uncertain, HBO plans to devote the entire season finale of frosh newsmag “Vice” to its recent trip to the Hermit Kingdom with Dennis Rodman.
The U.S. government has distanced itself from “Vice” and the ex-basketball player’s foray to North Korea. Rodman plans to return to the country in August.
HBO has also expanded the current episode order for season one of “Vice” from eight to 10 editions. The season finale will air on June 14.
“Vice” debuted to so-so ratings on HBO in its Friday 11 p.m. time slot on April 5, but grew 78% in its second week, attracting almost a million viewers.
Program is exec produced by Bill Maher, Shane Smith and Eddy Moretti.
