‘Hawaii Five-0’ Asks Fans to Create an Episode

Hawaii Five 0 Fans build episode

Hawaii Five-0” has gotten a lot more mysterious.

For the next three weeks, fans of the CBS procedural can help build an upcoming episode by voting on six story elements: the scene of crime, victim, murder weapon, evidence, suspect and takedown. Each component has seven choices, meaning the choose-your-own-adventure options can result in something as bizarre as a struggling illusionist murdering a macadamia nut tycoon during a skydiving lesson with a poisonous toad.

Although voting closes on Oct. 31, viewers will be able to dictate production elements come February. Then, they’ll have input on props, cast wardrobe, music and the episode’s title.

“Hawaii Five-0” is known for its interactivity with fans. In a television first, it allowed fans to choose its season finale last year. Viewers picked one of three murderers online.

Bland is Bland,no matter how its cut or divided! this is the main argument for why i loath remakes of
any Classic TV series,,and this one really cuts the cake! despite all its Fan interactivity, the 2010
version of “HAWAII FIVE-O” totally sucks!! i’ll still stay loyal to the 1968-1980 CBS version, because
it will always be the superior,no matter what these “kids” today think or do! Jack Lord was THE MAN!!
i barely know any of these current players today,,but the people running CBS now, have very different
ideas of how Leonard Freeman’s creation is to be done,,and no thanks-because these people are just that,,BLAND!! much of old Hawaii is preserved in all the original episodes, when the Islands had Sugar
Cane,Pineapple, the old HIC arena, and many cheerished landmarks, now gone! and being that it was the
very first Network series filmed entirely on location in the 50th State, the original series really had class,
attitude, and an all too realistic view of law and order on the islands,,and Jack Lord ruled as “McGarrett”,
as did Keigh Deigh,as the smoothly villianous “Wo Fat”. but these people today,,Alex Laughlin and company,,they couldn’t act their way out of a paper bag, much less become the successors to the original
show-and the only other TV series that almost, but impressively established itself, was “MAGNUM PI”,
which was Five-O’s most popular successor,,and even that show is still superior! nuff said.

Minor correction…. they Hawaii Five-0 did do a pick-the-ending episode last season, but it was NOT the season finale. The season finale was the cliff-hanger with Wo-Fat in prison.
