Lena Dunham comedy draws 1.6 million over three telecasts
Fresh off its win for comedy series at the Golden Globes, HBO’s “Girls” debuted to 866,000 for its 9 p.m. telecast Sunday night, according to Nielsen.
Sunday marked the season two premiere for the Lena Dunham starrer. Over three telecasts, “Girls” garnered 1.6 million viewers, which was 42% higher than the two showings for the series debut in April.
HBO Laura Dern laffer “Enlightened” drew 300,000 for its initial airing Sunday and 609,000 across three plays.
On HBO-owned Cinemax, Alan Ball exec produced “Banshee” attracted 483,000 for its first telecast Friday night and nearly 1 million for three telecasts.
