Paramount Making TV Version of Patrick Swayze Movie ‘Ghost’

Paramount Television has teamed with “Fringe’s” Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner on a pilot based on the 1990 Patrick Swayze-starrer, “Ghost.”

A network is not currently attached.

Both scribes are well-versed in the world of supernatural dramas, making them an ideal fit for an adaption of a film about a murdered man trying to solve the crime from beyond while also caring for the safety of his girlfriend. Aside from their work on “Fringe,” Goldsman produced “I Am Legend” and several of the “Paranormal Activity” movies while Pinker wrote for “Lost” and “Alias.”

Goldsman is represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Pinkner is represented by William Morris Endeavor (WME).
