FremantleMedia North America Adds Alex Demyanenko

Reality vet joins Fremantle with extensive experience in cable

FremantleMedia North America has added Alex Demyanenko to the newly created post of senior veep of nonfiction development and programming.

Demyanenko, a Shed Media alum, will oversee development and production for cable nets, while Julie Uribe, senior v.p. of non-scripted development, will oversee development and production for broadcast nets.

“Alex has an incredible reputation as a creative force in the industry,” said FremantleMedia North America CEO Thom Beers, to whom Demyanenko will report. “We couldn’t be more excited to have Alex join us at FremantleMedia as we continue to ramp up our cable development.”

Before working at Shed, Demyanenko was vice prez of series development and programming at VH1, developing over 20 series for the cabler. He has also served as head of development at Rocket Science Laboratories.
