Fox’s ‘Dads’: Six More Scripts Ordered

Dads Review Fox

Sitcom running fourth in its 8 p.m. Tuesday timeslot

Poor reviews and modest ratings aside, Fox sitcom “Dads” has earned an order of six more scripts from the network.

In its most recent airing, “Dads” finished fourth in its 8 p.m. Tuesday timeslot with a 1.3 rating and 4 share among viewers 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall. It is performing slightly worse than fellow newcomer “Brooklyn Nine Nine” (which received its own new script order recently) but better than second-year sitcom “The Mindy Project,” which airs at 9:30.

“Dads” and “Brooklyn” might be suffering in part from the competition offered by ABC freshman drama “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,” not to mention veterans “NCIS” on CBS and “The Voice” on NBC.

Entertainment Weekly first reported the news.
