Initiative is part of Fox Deportes' social outreach campaign
Fox Deportes has teamed up with other 21st Century Fox networks to donate almost $2 million in promotional airtime to the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.
The effort is part of the Spanish-language sports net’s first community engagement campaign, “El Mundo Es Tuyo” (“The World is Yours”), focusing on the educational, financial and health-related issues affecting Latinos. It features public service announcements and nationwide community events aimed to raise funds for educational pursuits.
In light of the success of its inaugural higher education town hall in Los Angeles last May, Fox Deportes will host another symposium with education experts and government officials in San Antonio, Texas on Nov. 16.
