Emmys: Claire Danes Child Proofs Her Award

For Claire Danes, her second straight lead drama actress win for “Homeland” brings a new set of considerations in celebrating and displaying the gilded hardware.

“We have a tiny person now,” she said of her 9-month-old son Cyrus. “He’s still on East Coast time, so our curfew has to be earlier than it ever has been before.”

She’s also going to take care to keep the winged trophy out of reach of her infant. “I’m hoping he’s not going to impale himself on the thing,” she joked.

As for the reason she was clutching another Emmy, Danes called herself “truly blessed to have found this role with this group of people. This show is challenging in all the right ways,” she said. Adding with emphasis “It’s a good gig.”
