Emmy Weekend: ICM’s Saturday Brunch at the Silbermann’s

Good vibes and plenty of quiche at sunny Santa Monica gathering

ICM Partners’ Saturday brunch in Santa Monica was the perfect hangover cure for many bizzers after a busy night of party-hopping on Friday.

ICM partner Chris Silbermann and his wife, Julia Franz, laid out quite a spread of crepes (made to order on the spot), quiches, salads, pastries, blintzes, scones and sundry other nibbles in their backyard. Some much-needed Vitamin D was provided by the weather, which was a gracious guest in being not too hot and not too cold.

It’s always a treat to hang with Cam and Mitchell, aka Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and joining them for good measure were an eclectic assortment of thesps including Shirley MacLaine, Tony Shalhoub, Jacki Weaver, Abigail Spencer, Scott Bakula, Marg Helgenberger and Walton Goggins.

Goggins was interrupted in a conversation with Collier by a young comic who just HAD to shake his hand and declare “you’re awesome, man.” Goggins flashed that Walton-Goggins smile and acknowledged that it’s not the first time that’s happened.

Execs who soaked up the sun, the food and the laid-back vibes included FX’s John Landgraf, AMC’s Charlie Collier, CBS’ Scott Koondel, Electus’ Ben Silverman, Fox’s Shana Waterman and Turner’s Kathryn Busby.

Tom Rothman made the rounds in his new incarnation as a producer. Mark Johnson couldn’t take two steps without hearing how much everyone on the planet loves “Breaking Bad.” Vince Gilligan could barely get a bite down in between indulging everyone’s need to tell him how destroyed they were by last week’s knife fight.

And among Gilligan’s inner-circle at ICM, there was some joking about how many “Breaking Bad” spoilers might be unleashed during the live Emmycast given that the AMC drama’s penultimate episode will go head to head on Sunday in the 9 p.m. hour.

Decisions, decisions…
