CORIE HENSON

Announcement arrives as Electus prepares to launch reality show 'Food Fighters' on NBC

Corie Henson has been named exec vice prez of unscripted TV at Electus, the entertainment studio formed by Ben Silverman. She will report to Electus CEO Chris Grant.

Henson joins Electus from ABC, where she served as vice president of alternative series, handling Alphabet shows including “Dancing With the Stars,” “Shark Tank” and the “Extreme Makeover” franchise.

“Corie is that rare executive who blends creative talent, managerial prowess and sales experience with deep experience in the world of physical production,” said Grant. “Her contributions and perspective will be vital to Electus as we continue to build upon our slate of unscripted programming.”

Programs that fall in Electus’ unscripted wheelhouse — and now under Henson’s guidance — include “Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls,” “Dog and Beth,” “The Hero” and NBC’s upcoming amateur cooking show “Food Fighters.”
