‘Duck Dynasty’: Twitter Blocks ‘IStandWithPhil.com’

Phil Robertson Duck Dynasty

Twitter has blocked users from tweeting the pro-Phil Robertson site IStandWithPhil.com as the high-profile petition drive in support of the Duck Dynasty star rapidly approaches 200,000 members in just under four days.

“Despite Twitter’s shut down of iStandWithPhil.com, we are surging through 200,000 supporters. In recent days, iStandWithPhil.com is among the top trending hash tags on Twitter,” said Chris Stone, Founder of Faith Driven Consumer. “We’re encouraging supporters to be heard, Tweet the @support or @twitter account, and use their other means of communication to get iStandWithPhil.com back online.”

The Christian-backed website is one of several campaigns supporting the recently suspended “Duck Dynasty” patriarch, who was put on indefinite hiatus following anti-gay remarks in a recent GQ interview.

Robertson cites his Christian beliefs as reason for his conservative stance on homosexuality.

They have been spamming the hell out of twitter for days and now they are blocked. Happens all the time so why would they think they would get away with it?

Only so much ignorance and stupidity tje average person can take. But then, that’s conservatives being “tolerant” for you.

      • big daddy D says:

@hd..you would be incorrect, sir. I was raised Christian..just not ignorant or intolerant.

      • hd says:

i guess that means you have no christian friends. I guess that would make you a Christian hater. Hate things you don’t understand I get it.

      • big daddy D says:

@james..I’m saying it’s the conservatives who are intolerant. Talking about how they “tolerate” Homosexuality. That’s just their way of saying they HATE gay people. That’s utter hogwash, IMHO! I’ve got openly gay friends that I’ve known for 30 years..and I love them dearly. I accept and embrace what they have gone through and had to deal with for years…and I dare anyone to step to me when they feel the need to spew their hatred towards a loved one of mine.

      • James Weatherwax says:

Odd that you would comment on twitter blocking a conservative website by calling the CONSERVATIVES intolerant. hmmm…. who’s being more intolerant?
