Third episode of season still strong coming off record premiere
“Duck Dynasty“s duck call pierced the airwaves yet again, attracting 9.6 million viewers Wednesday night.
A&E’s reality hit premiered to a record-breaking 11.8 million two weeks ago, drawing the largest audience ever for a non-fiction cable show and the biggest telecast in the network’s history.
The show, which follows a Louisiana family that runs a duck call fabrication business, premiered in March 2012 to 1.81 million viewers. Ratings have steadily increased over the years; the series closed season three with an audience reach of 9.6 million.
