Diablo Cody Sells Teen Drama to Fox

Cody teams with Fake Empire for hourlong project

Diablo Cody is heading toward the smallscreen, as the “Juno” scribe has sold drama project “Prodigy” to Fox with Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire.

“Prodigy” centers on a home-schooled and brilliant teen who enters high school and is adopted by a wild crowd.

Cody serves as scribe on the project, and Fake Empire will produce “Prodigy” through the banner’s overall with ABC Studios.

Project marks a reunion for Schwartz and Fox, who famously paired for sudsy teen drama “The OC.”

    That this hideously bad over-hyped “writer” is still being paid by Hollywood to provide her unpalatable prose is a recurring insult to all writers.

    That she is teaming with flop-meister Josh Schwartz is no surprise as he has a nose for projects the public won’t want to watch.

    In case you’re wondering why US TV is in a Dark Age both creatively and financially, this is because the powers-that-be keep hiring people like DIablo Cody and Josh Schwartz.
