David Feeney has inked a two-year overall deal with Twentieth Century Fox TV, it was announced today.
Pact calls for the producer-scribe to develop new projects for the studio. In the first fruits of the deal, Feeney will join Fox’s “New Girl” next season as a co-exec producer.
Feeney’s most recent credit is Fox laffer “Ben and Kate,” where he served as an exec producer and co-showrunner. He has also written and produced for “Two Broke Girls” and “According to Jim.”
“Dave proved himself invaluable on ‘Ben and Kate,’ really stepping up and taking on a leadership role when Dana went on maternity leave,” said 20th Century Fox TV chairman Gary Newman. “Although that show ultimately didn’t go the distance, we knew we wanted to stay in business with him. Dave is one of those guys who is both incredibly funny and great with story and Liz, Brett and Dave really responded to his writing…We couldn’t be happier that he is staying in the Twentieth Century Fox TV family.”
Feeney is repped by UTA.
