Net also orders 'Oxygen,' 'Reign' from CBS Studios
CW has ordered post-apocalyptic “The Hundred” pilot, from writer Jason Rothenberg.
Based on an upcoming book series, the story goes back 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, and a spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of recolonizing the planet.
Book was written by Kass Morgan. Rothenberg will exec produce with Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo.
Warner Bros. TV will produce, with Alloy Entertainment.
Net also stocked on two other drama pilots: “Oxygen” and “Reign,” both of which are from CBS Studios.
In “Oxygen,” a group of alien boys are integrated into a suburban high school, and then one of the aliens has a romance with a human girl. Writer Meredith Averill exec produces with Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec, Scott Rosenberg, Richard Shepard, Bryan Furst, Sean Furst and Daniel Gutman.
Stephanie Sengupta and Laurie McCarthy are the creators behind “Reign. Plotline involves the previously unknown and untold story of Mary Queen of Scots rise to power when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting.
