Drama's ratings growing in 10th season
CBS has renewed “NCIS” for an 11th season while signing star and exec producer Mark Harmon to a contract extension.NCIS ranks No. 1 among TV series this season in total viewers with an average of 21.5 million, 7% higher than the previous year, and in the 25-54 demo with a 5.9 average rating and 15 share. The Jan. 15 episode broke the 25 million barrier in live-plus-3 viewership for the first time. “In a world gone niche, ‘NCIS’ keeps getting bigger, and Mark Harmon continues to define the role of leading man,” said CBS Corp. prexy and CEO Leslie Moonves. generates passionate viewers and drives revenue on every conceivable platform.” In syndicated airings on USA, “NCIS” is cable’s top-ranked off-network drama.
