'Beverly Kills' Comedy Project From 20th

Deal marks third major sale for helmer-producer's Small Dog shingle

ABC has given a script-plus-penalty order to “Beverly Kills,” a comedy project from 20th Century Fox TV scribe Don Todd and helmer-producer Jason Winer.

Project revolves around a woman who retires from her life as a killer for the mob for domesticity in Beverly Hills but can’t quite give up her old life. Todd wrote the script based on an idea from Winer (pictured above). Todd and Winer exec produce with Renate Radford for Winer’s Small Dog Picture Co.

“Beverly Kills” is the third big comedy commitment secured by Winer’s 20th TV-based shingle this year, following last week’s sale of a Damon Wayans Jr. comedy to Fox and a project with “Pitch Perfect” scribe Kay Cannon at CBS.
