Jeff Berman joins busy digital and TV production company

BermanBraun has recruited NFL exec Jeff Berman to serve as prexy of the busy digital and TV production shingle.

Berman will work in the newly created post with principals Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun in running and charting strategy for the five-year-old venture that is home to celeb news website Wonderwall and a number of other top consumer sites. The company is also active in primetime programming, with its latest drama series, “Deception,” bowing today on NBC.

Berman, who is no relation to Gail Berman, is a digital biz vet who has also worked for MySpace and as an advisor to numerous startup ventures. He was most recently g.m. of digital media at NFL, where he oversaw the league’s Web, mobile, social and non-console gaming efforts.

Gail Berman and Braun cited the exec’s “vast expertise in media, technology and the consumer marketplace” as an asset to the company.

“BermanBraun has a big, bold, and brilliant vision for creating world-class experiences across screens and devices,” said Jeff Berman. “A decade-plus of waiting is over. The future is now.”
