Ben Affleck to Direct Crime Drama Pilot at Fox

'The Middle Man' will mark Affleck's television directorial debut

“Batman” biz aside, Ben Affleck is keeping busy in a different sector of the industry: television.

Affleck has partnered with Glenn Gordon Caron for Boston crime dramaThe Middle Man,” for which Fox has ordered a pilot, Variety confirmed.

Project, set in 1960s Beantown, centers on Rudy MacAteer, an FBI agent tasked with taking down the Mafia.

Caron penned the pilot and will serve as showrunner, while Affleck will try his hand at directing for TV for the first time, serving as helmer on the pilot.

Pair will exec produce through Affleck’s Pearl Street Films alongside Chay Carter.
