Quinn Taylor is heading from the Alphabet to the Peacock.

The longtime ABC exec has been tapped to lead movies, miniseries and international co-productions at NBC. He previously served as senior v.p. of movies, miniseries and acquisitions at ABC Entertainment Group since 2009, and before that was senior vice prez of movies and miniseries at ABC Entertainment for seven years. He had logged over 15 years with ABC’s telefilm department before being hired at NBC.

As exec veep of NBC’s longform programming arm, Taylor will oversee all development and programming of original movies and minis, along with acquired longform content. He will also serve a key role in shows that have international co-production elements, like NBC’s “Hannibal” and the forthcoming pirate drama “Crossbones.”

“NBC is committed to a programming strategy that will include creating competitive, award-winning event television and there is no one else we’d rather have than Quinn to head up this initiative,” said Jennifer Salke, prez of NBC Entertainment. “NBC is excited to be back in the longform programming business – an area where the network has played a leadership role in the past – and we are thrilled that Quinn will be bringing his vision, experience and creative talent to the development of movies and miniseries for NBC.”
