20th Century Fox Japan appoints prexy pair

Home entertainment exex replace Naito, who died August '11

In an unusual move, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment Japan has appointed two execs to fill the prexy post that has been vacant since Tomoki Naito died in August, 2011.

One is sales division head Shiro Kawai while the other is marketin topper Tomohiro Doai. The pair will continue their current jobs while taking on joint responsibility for the prexy post.

This formalizes the de facto situation — Kawai and Doai have effectively been running the company in the 16 months since Naito’s death.

Kawai joined Fox Home Entertainment in 1997 and was promoted to his current job in 2002. Doai was hired to run the marketing division in January 2011. He was previously VP of marketing at Coca-Cola Japan.
