Company will unleash new product from Outline at Mipcom
Deal will see Hat Trick exclusively rep Outline’s new programming internationally outside of the U.S., extending Hat Trick’s catalogue to almost 600 hours.
At this year’s TV mart Mipcom, which unspools in October, Hat Trick will launch a number of Outline’s new shows to international clients, including “Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food” and “The Big Wildlife Revival.”
“Outline Productions is a dynamic and creative company, specializing in high quality, popular factual entertainment television,” said Hat Trick’s director of sales Sarah Tong. “We are delighted to represent such a big entertainment producer and look forward to adding Outline’s brand new finished shows and exciting formats to our growing catalogue.”
Outline’s m.d. Laura Mansfield said the company was “delighted” to partner with Hat Trick, adding that Outline “has significantly increased the number and range of our productions over the last year, taking us to new territories and building on our existing slate.”
In the last six months, Outline has won major commissions from broadcasters including from BBC Two, “Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food,” in which Michelin starred chef Kerridge reveals how to cook pub food dishes and “Britain’s Big Wildlife Revival” for BBC One, in which experts join viewers in a campaign to save some of the U.K.’s most threatened wildlife.
Additionally, it has produced “Million Dollar Intern,” currently airing on BBC Worldwide, and “Health Freaks on Trial,” a factual entertainment show for Channel 4.
Announcement follows Hat Trick’s exclusive distribution arrangements with producers Plum Pictures and Keo Films.
