Jon Stewart’s eponymous Comedy Central show may have lost the Primetime Emmy for writing for a variety series to “The Colbert Report” in September, but all is not lost — now he has a  man on the inside.

Fittingly, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’s” resident Brit John Oliver will host this year’s International Emmy Awards Gala on November 25 at the Hilton New York Hotel.

“We’re delighted to have John Oliver and his unique comedic talent headlining our Gala this year,” Bruce L. Paisner, president & CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences said in a statement. “We are delighted John is following up his very successful hosting of the Daily Show with the International Emmys.”

In addition to the presentation of Emmy® Awards for programming, this year the Academy will also honor J.J. Abrams with the International Emmy Founders award and present RTL Group’s Anke Schäferkordt with the International Emmy Directorate award.
