CAA’s Joe Cohen Honored at Taste for a Cure

“This is the wrong night to get drunk if you want to work in TV,” said Mike O’Malley, emceeing the Taste for a Cure fundraiser for the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation. O’Malley spoke the truth since CAA’s Joe Cohen (pictured above, right, with John Landgraf) was being honored April 26 at the BevWilshire by such TV honchos in attendance as Dante Di Loreto, Brian Grazer, Bob Greenblatt, Landgraf, Ryan Murphy, David Nevins, Gary Newman, Jennifer Salke and Dana Walden. Cohen mentioned them all but also offered thanks to parents who let him as a kid “watch a ton of TV.”

Cohen said he was a bit apprehensive about his client O’Malley being the emcee. “I’ve seen you do this so many times and was thankful it wasn’t me getting roasted,” recalled Cohen.

But no worries. “I can’t roast a guy who’s been so great to me,” said O’Malley.
