Scott Campbell, the visual and tattoo artist whose shop Saved Tattoos has inked the likes of Robert Downey Jr. and Sting, introduced his new Saved Wines label at the Chateau Marmont Tuesday night with guests including producer Hilary Shor and “Fashion Police’s” George Kotsiopoulos filmmaker Liz Goldwyn and director-thesp Katie Aselton.

Campbell, who married actress-director Lake Bell in June, collaborated with Central Coast winemaker Clay Brock to create a rose and a red, both sporting an intricate diamond-shaped design imprinted directly on the bottle. Scott says he wanted to create an image that incorporated “superstition and ritual, symbols and messages” including Bell’s name hidden in the details. He left Brock to create the blends, saying “My job is to make it look good.”

Bell comes from grapey roots: her stepfather was a wine merchant and involved her in tastings from an early age. The wines were served at the couple’s New Orleans wedding.

The crisp Magic Maker rosé, sourced primarily from Paso Robles, is blended with an accent on Cabernet Franc grapes. With lower alcohol than heavy reds, it’s ideal for poolside sipping. The robust, oak-accented red is blended from Monterey, Sonoma and Mendocino including Zinfandel and Carignane.

The wines are available via the Saved Wines website and will be in stores and restaurants starting Sept. 1.
