Chelsea Handler will host fundraiser for second consecutive year

Goldie Hawn, Aileen Getty and the Hugo Boss company will be honored for their contributions to the fight against AIDS at amFAR’s Inspiration Gala on Dec. 12, the foundation announced on Friday.

Chelsea Handler is slated to host the fourth annual gala at Milk Studios, while Grace Jones will perform a special set for the occasion. As part of a series of events that celebrate men’s style, the gala will feature a Hugo Boss men’s fashion presentation.

Josh Wood Productions is producing the event, from which proceeds will go to amfAR’s AIDS research programs. Rich Ross will chair the gala alongside David Bohnett, John Demsey, Tim Hanlon, and Rebecca Wang, with Naomi Campbell, Janet Jackson, Kenneth Cole, and Elisabeth Murdoch serving as Honorary Chairs.

Previous recipients of this honor have included Jennifer Lopez, Kevin Huvane, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Ricky Martin, James Franco, Francisco Costa, Mario Testino, Robert Duffy/Marc Jacobs International, and Fergie.

Since 1985, amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research, has been dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy. To date, the Inspiration event series has raised more than $10 million for the foundation.
