‘Family Weekend’ Keeps It Real for Kristin Chenoweth

Does anyone come from a family that isn’t dysfunctional?

That seemed to be the question at the March 21 preem of Arc’s “Family Weekend” at the Chelsea Clearview Cinemas in Gotham.

“My family is ridiculous but every family is crazy. So, it wasn’t a difficult role for me,” said Eddie Hassell, whose teen character in the pic pretends to be gay in order to gain his parent’s attention.

Kristin Chenoweth plays the distracted mother. At the 10AK afterparty, she took a lighter approach to the question. “I, too, have been stuck at times in romance, professionally or in friendships,” Chenoweth noted. “But my faith, family and friends keep it real.”
