Germany’s Federal Film Fund (DFFF) will take a bow today as leading industry reps discuss the country’s promising financing possibilities.
An event titled “70 Million Euros and Beyond: Film Financing and Producing in Germany” will provide the lowdown on how best to secure soft money from Teutonic federal and regional funders. Speakers include Cornelia Hammelmann, DFFF project director; Peter Dinges, chairman of the German Federal Film Board; Kirsten Niehuus of the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg; and Gabriele Pfennigsdorf, deputy of Bavaria’s FFF Bayern. Also taking part in the discussion will be Studio Babelsberg CEO Charlie Woebcken; Bavaria Film topper Achim Rohnke; and Robin Houcken, deputy chairman of Studio Hamburg. The event takes place at the Berlinale Club in Palmenhof, Bellevue Str. 1, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
