Fox Searchlight’s “Trance” had its bow on March 19 in London, where helmer Danny Boyle revealed that despite the mind-trickster pic’s subject matter he’d never succumbed to hypnosis.
“I don’t know whether I’m relaxed enough!” Boyle joked. ”It might take too long – hours and hours.”
Stars James McAvoy and Rosario Dawson joined Boyle in Leicester Square, both keen to chat about their pic-based romance.
” ‘Trance’ is a heist movie, it’s a psychological thriller – and it’s a menage a trois,” revealed McAvoy, who’d double-booked his night, bailing post red carpet to star as Macbeth on the West End.
Dawson stuck around to discuss her role as the pic’s femme fetale, a role requiring plenty of flesh-flashing.
“The scariest part was walking!” Dawson quipped, then she kidded a bashful McAvoy. “I’m looking over at James, and he’s not looking at me at all. He’s looking at a spot on the wall.”
The dwindled talent then stepped into the Odeon West End for indoor warmth and the screening.
