Arnett to be feted at Banff

Comedian will receive Canadian Award of Distinction

Will Arnett will receive the Canadian Award of Distinction at the Banff World Media Festival, which will unspool June 9 to12 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta.

The actor and comedian will be honored at the Rockie Awards Gala, celebrating some of the biggest names in the film and TV industry.

The award is presented to a Canadian whose body of work exemplifies outstanding achievement in the entertainment industry. Past recipients include Paul Haggis, Howie Mandel, Erick McCormack and Martin Short.

Currently starring in hit NBC comedy “Up All Night” opposite Christina Applegate and Maya Rudolph, Arnett is also well known for his work on sitcom “Arrested Development.”

“I’m very thrilled to be honored by Banff and to be included in the list of other Eh-List Canadian artists,” said Arnett.
