To entice ad buyers to give strong consideration to its suite of cable channels, News Corp.s FX Networks offered a night of bowling – complete with properly sized bowling shoes and an oversized bowling jersey – at New York’s Lucky Strike Lanes. Perhaps, among the pool tables and well-lit lanes, a young buyer’s fancy might turn to plunking down some of a client’s budget on an FX show like “Archer” or a new cabler announced Thursday, FXX.create original world-class branded entertainment events and content platforms.
Participants were given an hour or so to practice, before some of the talent from an FX program joined their teams. The soundtrack for the evening? Songs like the 1975 hit “Boogie Shoes.”
