Production to run Oct. 18-Nov. 23
The final tuner from composer John Kander and the late lyricist Fred Ebb tells a true story of racial injustice through the theatrical conventions of a minstrel show. Directed by Stroman, it preemed at Gotham’s Vineyard in February 2010 and then transferred to Broadway for a 49-perf run.
The Young Vic and Catherine Schreiber production will run Oct. 18-Nov. 23 with an Oct. 29 opening. Casting has yet to be announced.
