Rupert Grint to Make Stage Debut

Rupert Grint will make his London stage debut in in a West End revival of Jez Butterworth’s “Mojo” later this year, producers announced today.

Grint will play a pill-popping gangster, a deep departure from the sidekick role of Ron Weasley that made him famous in the “Harry Potter” series.

Ben Whishaw, Daniel Mays and “Downton Abbey” star Brendan Coyle also star. Ian Rickson directs.

“Mojo” begins previews at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London in October.
