Magnolia Sets Place for ‘Table’ Docu

A Place at the Table

Film premieres at Museum of Modern Art

The Magnolia Pictures’ doc “A Place at the Table” makes it clear that about 50 million people in America don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

Guests at the Feb. 27 preem did know. After the MoMA screening, they dashed off to the afterparty at Riverpark.

Exec producer Tom Colicchio, a “Top Chef” honcho who’s an anti-hunger activist, gave a dispensation to everyone to eat heartily at the event. Among the guests were Colicchio’s wife, Lori Silverbush, who is co-director on the doc, with Kristi Jacobson, who can rattle off shocking statistics about America’s plight.

Also there was Matt Dillon, who said, “I’m here to support my friends.”
