Patsy Nanny Myers, an attorney who was married to publicist Julian Myers for 43 years and was often involved in his work, died of a stroke on Oct. 12. She was 83.
The couple (pictured above) were devotees of the Hollywood social scene, but in her day job Myers devoted her legal career to providing all sorts of help to the defenseless. For the past three years she had been working on a study of the increasing loss of the human aspect during U.S. Supreme Court procedures.
“I equate her devotion to our nation’s future with that of Abraham Lincoln,” Julian Myers said.
Born in Cape Girardeau, Mo., Myers graduated from the U. of West Los Angeles School of Law and was admitted to the bar in 1976.
In addition to her husband, Myers is survived by three siblings.
Burial will be private. A celebration of Myers’ life will be held Oct. 27.
